Environmental, Energy Efficiency & Alarm Testing
Intruder Alarm Systems
AS/NZS 2201
Austest works with Alarm providers to achieve audit and verification of network tests called up within AS/NZS 2201.5 for Alarm transmission systems and AS/NZS 2201 for Intruder Alarm systems.
Car Alarm Testing
Austest performs testing to AS/NZS4601 and AS/NZS 3749 for vehicle car alarms to assist importers and manufacturers to comply with Star rating schemes in Australia and New Zealand. Portions of this testing require temperature and humidity testing and cycling which can be performed in either our Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland labs.
Environmental
Austest provides various types of environmental testing covering energy efficiency, temperature cycling, vibration and shock, humidity testing and IP testing for the prevention of water and dust to AS/NZS 60529 and the European and International equivalents.

Energy Efficiency (MEPS)
Minimum energy performance standards have now been implemented for external power supplies and battery chargers (AS/NZS 4665) and digital set-top boxes (AS/NZS 62087.2.1:2008. Austest performs testing to satisfy the requirements of the Australian Government's Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts Energy Efficiency legislation. Austest also provided registration services for MEPS compliant products. For additional info, refer to www.energyrating.gov.au
